The Morconi unit for sending CW over a remote radio connection requires an TCP/IP connection to the radio (Flex version) or the remote Morconi server (All Rigs version).
This article describes how to set the Morconi up to share its internet connection from your Windows PC or laptop.
If you are travelling and using a VPN to connect to the radio (and possibly other devices on the radio-side LAN), this approach is required because no VPN client can be installed on the Morconi units itelf.
Make sure the Morconi's LAN interface is set to DHCP by setting in the Morconi config file: ' Static IP: FALSE'
Plug an Ethernet cable between the Morconi and your PC or laptop. You can use an Ethernet to USB adapter if your existing Ethernet port is plugged into the LAN.
Then go into 'View Network Connections' (find it from the Windows search bar).
Right click on the VPN's network interface > go into Properties > select Sharing.
Share the VPN interface with the interface used for the Morconi.
Click OK.
Reboot Morconi and wat for the 'C' in CW to confirm the connection.
