In 2005 I was very honoured to be invited to participate in the CQWW CW contest with the Voodoo Contest Group. Andy (G4PIQ) was pulling out of the team for family reasons, so it seemed natural that I would become the IT guy on the team. I inherited the old loggomg software and network – CT running in DOS with a coax Ethernet and it worked very successfully. I knew that things had to change for the following year though – DOS was becoming a thing of the past and WiFi networks were much easier to implement than a coax network.
