During CQWW CW 2015, I operated the station of HR2J, about 3 hours drive from the city of San Pedro Sula in northern Honduras.
San Pedro Sula has the unenviable distinction of being ‘ the murder capital of the world’ - see the screen shot on the left from the Wiki Travel site.
However, I survived it! The QTH is up in the hills, surrounded by coffee plantations; the people in the area live a simple life and it was a fantastic experience to live with Javier’s family for a week.

Before the contest I used the call-sign HR5/G4IRN, then during the contest I used Javier’s short-call, HR2J.
