National Field Day 2008

This was the first time that John/G4IRN, Tony/G0OPB, David/G4ERW and Stan/G0KBL did NFD under their own steam: the Radio Ga Ga Contest Group was formed!

We used the club call M0IRN/p for a couple of years but it confused people so for later Field Days, we switched to G4IRN/p with better results. In 2019 we started using Tony's new call-sign G2NF/p.

For the first couple of years we operated from near Ashford in Kent. The site was OK but possibly too close to Germany for 10m Es openings.
