2025 - RSGB National Field Day (CW)

Tony G2NF, Mike G3WPH, David G4ERW and myself, John G4IRN operated from Portland Bill again this year as G4GA/p; we received very welcome support from local resident Rich M5RIC who helped us erect and dismantle the antennas either side of the contest.

On Friday evening before the contest, we were delighted to bump into Martin Lynch who happened to be staying in the same hotel with friends. Martin came up to the station on Sunday afternoon to pay us a visit.

WX this year was favourable for the station build on Friday / Saturday morning, and for dismantling on Sunday afternoon. During Saturday afternoon and evening we had very heavy rain and strong winds. Thankfully everything stayed in place and we were able keep dry in the van and tents.
