I have two of thee units availble. They allow remote or wireless connection to a serial port. They are in good working and csmetic condition.
The manufacturuer's page for this device is here: https://www.pusr.com/products/rs232-wifi-converter.html
The user manual is here: https://www.pusr.com/download/WIFI/wifi-232-Convert-Server-V2.0.3-EN.pdf
The units are very versatile and with lots of configuration options but to connect to a serial port remotely, they are straightforward to set up.
To configure and use the device:
Plug a serial device (e.g. Rotor, amplifier, Radio CAT port) into the serial port on the device.
Follow the setup instructions to connect to the device via direct WiFi (it creates a 'hot-spot').
Configure the device to connect to your local Wifi - note the IP address and port number of the device.
On your PC/Laptop run the free software to create a virtual serial port and associated that serial port with the IP address+port of the remote USR-WIFI232-602 device.
(If you are operating remotely from outside your LAN, you will have to set up a Port Forward on your router).
You then connect your software (e.g. rotor control software, amplifier control software etc) to the local virtual serial port.
The virtual serial port software (for Windows) is available here: https://www.pusr.com/support/downloads/usr-vcom-virtual-serial-software.html
Price: £30 for one unit or £50 for both (including UK P&P).
Note: You will require a 5V 500mA supply for these units.
